Pine Ridge, South Dakota

Home to the Oglala Lakota Nation since before the country was founded. Through steady community building and traditional ceremonies, families in Pine Ridge remain strong, self-educated, and resilient despite the fact that their stories have been either marginalized or ignored in favor of Hollywood stereotyping. We at Outlast believe that change is overdue. The youth at Pine Ridge deserve for their voices and vision to be heard. We are passionate in our belief that their creativity and storytelling need to be fostered and are the keys to renewing their communities and culture. We have been blessed to discover the supportive donor community that can make some of the dreams of these talented youth come true. We hope you can join us as we welcome the next generation of talented filmmakers to the scene.
